Spectrometry Cluster of the DLNP Experimental Department of Nuclear Spectroscopy and Radiochemistry
Measurement capabilities of our Spectrometry Cluster are really wide — there are detectors of high-purity germanium (HPGe) in various sizes and shapes, as well as detectors based on organic scintillators and on scintillation crystals of NaI, CsI, etc.
With the equipment of the Spectrometry Cluster, various scientific tasks can be completed
• searching for rare decays of different isotopes and studying them,
• obtaining experimental values of photonuclear yields and cross sections in stable nuclei with mass numbers 23–209 in the electron energy range from 20 to 200 MeV,
• measuring irradiated samples with gamma spectrometers (targets, detectors, electronics, etc.),
• evaluating intrinsic radioactivity of materials, including low-background materials,
• studying background conditions of the experiments,
• investigating local environments of probe nuclei in solutions using the PAC method.
The timing and dates for equipment use are coordinated in advance and kept strictly.
