The main goal of the projects is to study the phenomenon of neutrino oscillations which allow measuring unknown neutrino parameters: the neutrino mass ordering, leptonic CP violation (if CP is non-zero), the value of the mixing angle th23 and determining its octant.

Торжественное вручение состоялось 4 марта 2023 года в кампусе университета в г. Долгопрудном. 75-летие МФТИ — важное событие для науки и образования России. Физтех всегда был одним из самых передовых технологических вузов нашей страны, определяя научный вектор развития на годы вперед.

The report presented a number of studies performed for the Mu2e and T2K experiments. The Mu2e experiment at the Fermi National Laboratory will be aimed at searching for the neutrinoless conversion of a muon into an electron in the field of an aluminum nucleus. The registration of such a process would mean the detection of a violation of the lepton flavor in the decays of charged leptons and the detection of the effects of New Physics.

Long-baseline accelerator experiments are a powerful and unique tool to search for oscillation parameters. Within Theme 1099 “Neutrino Oscillation Research”, DLNP actively prepares for participation in the forthcoming DUNE experiment aimed at determining the phase responsible for CP violation and determination of neutrino mass ordering. The modular liquid-argon Time-Projection Chamber (ND-LAr TPC) is intended to be used as a target and detection media in the DUNE near detector.

Today, the installation of Cluster 11 has proceeded — the bottom and the middle sections of String 1 were assembled, the anchor of String 8 was installed and the string was mounted right to the bottom central module. String 7 was also assembled right to the bottom central module, and a hand winch was installed on String 2.
