  Сегодня ушел из жизни талантливый физик-теоретик, педагог, Учитель - профессор кафедры теоретической физики  Иркутского Государственного Университета Александр Николаевич Валл. Александр Николаевич всегда был окружен молодежью, учениками и друзьями. Александр Николаевич прожил яркую жизнь, любил жизнь и был любим окружающими его людьми. Он был светлым и добрым человеком и для многих стал ориентиром в жизни, на который ровнялись, к которому стремились.   Научный стиль Александра Николаевича отличали ясность и  простота, которая появляется только при настоящем понимании научного вопроса. Он никогда не боялся изучать новое в науке и до самой смерти оставался молодым в душе человеком.  У нас в ОИЯИ к проф. Валлу особое теплое отношение, поскольку нас связывало многолетнее сотрудничество в результате которого, целая плеяда талантливых иркутских студентов нашла свое место в ОИЯИ и успешно трудится в лабораториях института. Нам будет очень не хватать мудрости Александра Николаевича. Искренние соболезнования родным и близким. Он навсегда останется в наших сердцах.  
  Fabiola Gianotti, CERN Director General,  will hold a special press-conference today. The main topic is expected to be observation in the ATLAS detector of a neutrino with an ultrahigh high energy beating all previous records, including the IceCube data.
    Dr. Simon Blyth working at both Daya Bay and JUNO performed a significant step forward  developing a dedicate software package Opticks which performs an optical photon simulation with help of  NVIDIA GPU Technology. On 27 March, the authors of popular books for children and teenagers Andrei Zhvalevsky and Evgeniya Paternak come for the first time to Dubna. In the Blokhintsev Universal Library of JINR they will two meetings, with young and grown-up readers. This event is associated with the 60th anniversary of JINR and the Children’s Book Week. 
  This year, the annual DLNP Competition of Scientific Work was hold in compliance with new rules. All STC members took part in the voting by secret ballot. According to the results of the ballot, the First DLNP Prize was awarded to the series of works “Search for new physics and measurement of SM resonances at ATLAS” Authors: V.A. Bednyakov, L.K. Gladilin, I.V. Eletskikh, V.V. Lyubushkin, M.V. Chizhov, and E.V. Measurement of the neutrino mass hierarchy in the long baseline reactor experiment. Precise determination of the parameters of neutrino oscillations. Study of neutrino fluxes from various sources: the Sun, The Earth and others.
TAIGA
Investigation of gamma radiation and charged cosmic rays (CRs) in the energy range of $10^{13}$−$10^{18}$ eV by detecting Cherenkov radiation from extensive air showers (EAS): studying the high-energy edge of the spectrum of the brightest galactic and extragalactic sources of gamma radiation, searching for galactic PeVatrons, applying a new hybrid approach to study mass composition of CRs in the range of $10^{14}$–$10^{17}$ eV, studying of CRs anisotropy in the energy range of 100 - 3000 TeV.
Baikal-GVD
The project includes upgrade and development of the Baikal deepwater detector up to the detecting volume of 1 km³ in the studies of high-energy neutrino fluxes of astrophysical origin.
ATLAS
The main aim of the ATLAS international experiment is to study proton-proton interactions at extreme energies (7 to 14 TeV) of the LHC collider.
