Dmitry Gorin (Skoltech) "Interaction of optical radiation with biological objects: learning from nature to help it"
This report will consider the interactions between optical radiation and biological objects. Particular attention will be paid to the main types of elastic scattering, as well as the components of biological objects that determine the scattering and absorption of optical radiation. Examples of the practical application of optical methods in biology and medicine will be given. The report concludes with a discussion of the main trends in the development of modern biophotonics.
