The collaboration between Vietnamese and JINR scientists was covered in Vietnam

Several articles were published in the Vietnamese government newspaper Ấn phẩm Tia Sáng and in the news of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology on the status and prospects of cooperation between scientists from the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research and Vietnam.

The research group of Vietnamese scientists are taking an active part in JINR projects. The member of the JINR Scientific Council Le Hong Khiem made a significant contribution to the development of the cooperation between Vietnam and JINR.

In 2025 professor Le Hong Khiem will spend 9 months at JINR where he will be a head of the Vietnamese group that work on their own research channels at the LINAC-200 electron accelerator with the energy of up to 800 MeV at the JINR Laboratory of Nuclear Projects. The Vietnamese group will become the first international scientific group which will use the accelerator.

The important prospect for developing cooperation between the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research and Vietnam is suggestion by the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) to create a joint JINR-VAST laboratory specialized in radiation application. The suggested facility will include cyclotron and linear electron accelerator. The project is currently at the stage of feasibility study.
