Abstract

The invention is related to the field of  optoelectronics and concerns a multi-channel source of ultra-short pulsed laser radiation. The source comprises a current pulse source, laser diodes, and a control voltage source. The current pulse source comprises a pulse generator, a driver and an ultra-short pulse former. The generator is a source of pulses for the driver and ultra-short pulse generator, as well as clock pulses for external devices. The ultra-short pulse generator is implemented using charge accumulation diodes, and the control voltage source is based on digital-to-analogue converters and a digital-to-analogue converter control unit. The number of digital-to-analogue converters is equal to the number of laser diodes. The control voltage source, together with the current pulse source, provides power to the laser diodes, and the control voltage source ensures that the selected laser diode is turned on and the laser radiation power level is set.

The technical result consists in providing the ability to set the output optical radiation power level, starting from zero values, discrete switching of the output radiation wavelength and elimination of background illumination.

Formula of invention

Multichannel source of ultrashort pulsed laser radiation is characterised by containing current pulse source, laser diodes, and a control voltage source, moreover the source comprises a pulse generator, a driver and an ultra-short pulse former, the generator, in its turn, is a source of pulses for the driver and ultra-short pulse generator, as well as clock pulses for external devices. The driver is used to match the input of the ultra-short pulse generator with the output of the pulse generator.
