Igor Aleksandrovich Suslov speaks about the CDF experiment

Igor Aleksandrovich Suslov made a review of the methods for top-quark mass measurement used in the CDF experiment and presented the latest published results obtained by the team of the Division of Multiple Hadron Processes, DLNP, from the analysis of the total experimental statistics for the dilepton decay mode.

Determination of the top-quark mass Мt is an important objective in experimental physics. Precision Мt measurements are necessary for testing the internal consistence of the Standard Model and obtaining limits in new-physics models. The results of measuring the top-quark mass in several top–antitop quark pair decay modes were reported. These results were obtained at the proton–antiproton collision energy s = 1.96 TeV using the CDF Run II statistics acquired at Fermilab’s Tevatron.
