Anastasia Bolshakova "Monitoring and quality control of data in the JUNO experiment"

To obtain a more accurate definition of the hierarchy of neutrino masses, the JUNO experiment needs a high energy resolution, which directly depends on the degree of coverage by photomultipliers and their technical characteristics.

The work on monitoring and quality control of data at JUNO consists of two parts: the first is to determine the technical characteristics of photomultipliers during their operation (dark noise counting rate, voltage, photomultiplier occupancy, time synchronization) and clarify the criteria for their selection; the second is to validate the physical experimental data.

In 2025-2026, a monitoring system for session validation with a graphical web interface, as well as a channel quality control system, was developed for the JUNO experiment. The latter is designed to monitor the status of detector channels (photomultipliers) for each session of the dataset, identify problems, clarify selection criteria, and store information about the status of channels throughout the experiment.
