Ayagoz Baimukhanova became DLNP Deputy Director for Science
Ayagoz Baimukhanova graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with a Master’s degree in Nuclear Physics in 2013. In 2022, she completed postgraduate studies in the specialty “High-Energy Chemistry” at Dmitry Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia. In 2024, she defended her candidate dissertation “Selection of radionuclide pairs of III – IV valence elements for creating new types of generators”.
In 2015, Ayagoz obtained a position of a junior researcher at the JINR Laboratory of Nuclear Problems. She worked as a researcher at Sector 4 of Radiochemistry of the Department of Nuclear Spectroscopy and Radiochemistry from 2021 to 2024.
From 2017 to 2022, A. Baimukhanova took part in the JINR–Czech Student Programme for Graduate and Postgraduate Students at the Department of Nuclear Physics at Czech Technical University in Prague.
She was a representative of the Kazakh national group at the DLNP Laboratory from her first day at the laboratory up to 2022.
Since 2023, Ayagoz Baimukhanova has been a deputy leader of the project “Radiochemistry and spectroscopy for astrophysics and nuclear medicine”.
Ayagoz became a member of the Scientific Council of DLNP JINR in 2024.
Scientific interests: radiochemistry, radionuclides for nuclear medicine, radiopharmaceuticals, radionuclide production, separation and isolation of radionuclides, and production and purification of materials for low-background experiments.
