DLNP at the international conference in Saint-Petersburg

From September 15 to 19, 2025, the XXIX International Conference "Russian Particle Accelerators Conference RuPAC'25" was held in Saint-Petersburg. The conference was organized by JSC "D. V. Efremov Scientific Research Institute of Electrophysical Apparatus" of the State Atomic Energy Corporation "Rosatom". Staff members of the Laboratory of Nuclear Problems presented sectional and poster reports.

The conference is held every two years and serves as a key platform for the exchange of information and discussion of issues in accelerator science and technology, charged particle beam physics, as well as the development and modernization of accelerator facilities. Particular attention is paid to involving young researchers in solving current problems of the accelerator industry. The 2025 conference was timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the nuclear industry.

The following individuals participated in the conference sections:

  • Sergey Yakovenko, Chief Engineer of the JINR Laboratory of Nuclear Problems, with a report titled "Status of the MSC-230 Superconducting Medical Cyclotron".
  • Ilya Palnikov, design engineer of the Electrophysical Equipment Group, Design Department, with a report titled "Calculation of the residual pressure distribution in the accelerating volume of the MSC-230 cyclotron".
  • Mikhail Nozdrin, head of the Sector of Linear Accelerator, Department of research and Innovation, with a report titled "The DLNP JINR Electron Linear Accelerator (LINAC): Status of Commissioning and Prospects".
  • Pavel Zhuravlev, leading engineer of the Sector of Linear Accelerator, Department of research and Innovation, with a report titled "A method for phase-locking a laser frequency to the excitation frequency of an S-Band accelerator klystron".

Apart from that, within the conference Sofia Nadgerieva, Ivan Lyapin, Konstantin Yunenko, Mikhail Demichev, Dmitry Shokin, Sergey Shvidky, and Aleksei Trifonov presented poster reports.
