Conference “Genetics. Evolution. Radioecology” took place in Ekaterinburg

From September 15 to 19, 2025, the All-Russian Conference with International Participation "Genetics. Evolution. Radioecology" was held in Ekaterinburg. Anna Vladimirovna Rzyanina, a staff member of the JINR Laboratory of Nuclear Problems, delivered a report at the conference.

The "Genetics. Evolution. Radioecology" conference was dedicated to the 125th birth anniversary of Nikolai Vladimirovich Timofeev-Resovsky and the 70th anniversary of the biophysics laboratory he founded. The event was held at the Institute of Plant and Animal Ecology of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) with the support of the Institute of Industrial Ecology of the Ural Branch of the RAS.

Anna Vladimirovna Rzyanina, a senior researcher in the Sector of Radiation Medicine and Biology of the Department of New Accelerators, presented a report titled "The Effect of Gold Nanoparticles on Radiosensitivity and DNA Damage Formation in Human Tumor Cell Line A 549 under the Influence of Ionizing Radiation."

The research was conducted by a team of authors: A. V. Rzyanina, G. V. Mitsyn, A. V. Agapov, V. N. Gaevsky.
