Congratulations to Kseniia Belokopytova, Aleksei Agapov, Gennady Mitsyn on obtaining a patent!

Kseniia Belokopytova, Aleksei Agapov, and Gennady Mitsyn, staff members of the Sector of Radiation Medicine and Biology of the Department of New Accelerators at the JINR Laboratory of Nuclear Problems, and Oleg Valerievich Belov, a colleague from the JINR Laboratory of High Energy Physics, became authors of the patent for the invention "Device for cooling biological samples."

The device for cooling biological samples is a housing with a built-in fan and at least one Peltier apparatus. One pole of the Peltier apparatus is connected to a rectangular unit made of a heat-conducting metal and the other pole is connected to a cooling radiator. Device is equipped with two temperature sensors and a microcontroller. Fan is centred relative to radiator and located under it. Working surface is a tantalum plate.

The result – maintaining uniform temperature on the working surface and providing a chemically neutral medium when working with biological samples.
