Congratulations to Sergey Nikolaevich Dolya on obtaining a patent!
Sergey Nikolaevich Dolya, a senior researcher of the Department of New Accelerators at the Laboratory of Nuclear Problems of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, became the author of a patent for the invention "Method for obtaining neutrons using a pulsed neutron generator".
The invention relates to a method for producing neutrons using a pulsed neutron generator. In this method, neutrons are generated in a pulsed mode during the interaction of deuterium and tritium, which is achieved by heating the plasma with laser beams controlled by a reflective structure based on a system of rotating mirrors. The initial neutrons are generated in the collision of two thread segments consisting of lithium-6 deuteride and accelerated towards each other to an energy of 250 keV/nucleon by ablation.
The invention relates to methods of pulsed generation of neutrons during the interaction of deuterium with tritium.
