Results of the International Partnership Program Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences announced
Maksim Gonchar and Liang Zhan are members of the JUNO collaboration and study oscillations of reactor netrunios together. In particular, during last five years they have been working on statistical analysis for JUNO and estimation of the project sensitivity to neutrino mass hierarchy. Liang Zhan presented the group of scientists from the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Scientists, while Maksim Gonchar presented the group of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. The results of their work were included in the recent article of the JUNO collaboration devoted to the experiment sensitivity. They present two of three groups who worked on statistical analysis given in the article.
Nowadays Maksim Gonchar and Liang Zhan continue working on the first data of the JUNO experiment.
For the reference
