The 61st session of the JINR Programme Advisory Committee on Particle Physics closed

The 61st session of the JINR Programme Advisory Committee on Particle Physics was held in the House of International Meetings on 20 January 2025.

Aleksei Guskov, DLNP Deputy Director for Science, presented a report on the results of the ongoing SPD project within the NICA accelerator complex.

Liudmila Kolupaeva, Deputy Head of the Department of Particle Physics of DLNP JINR, put forward a suggestion on the new project “Studying neutrino properties in the accelerator experiment”.

The head of the Sector of Hadron Structure and Hadron Spectroscopy of the Department of Colliding Beams Ivan Eletskikh delivered a report on the scientific results obtained by the group of the JINR scientists in the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider.

At the end of the session, DLNP young scientists gave poster presentations on the topic of particle physics research:

Aytadzh Allakhverdieva “SPD detector description and GeoModel”
Olesia Geitota “Exploring Exotic and Non-Standard Phenomena in the NOvA Experiment”
Anastasia Kalitkina “3 Flavor Oscillation Analysis of 10 Years of NOvA Data”
Viktoria Kiseeva “Improving particle identification in the SFGD for ND280 using neural networks"
Ilya Vasilyev “The Super-FGD detector as part of the ND280 upgrade”
Vitaly Zavadsky “Fast Neutrino Oscillation in Short Baseline Reactor Antineutrino Experiments”

The NOva Exotics project was presented by its youngest member Olesia Geitota. In addition to the paper and web format, Olesia’s poster had Augmented-Reality (AR) elements made with the web app ARGUMENT.
