Two Research Projects of Our Laboratory Supported by the Russian Science Foundation
The Russian Science Foundation has announced the results of the competition of small separate scientific groups. A large number of participants were involved in the competition. Experts decided to support 1822 projects, among them there are two projects of the Dzhelepov Laboratory of Nuclear Problems:
“Development and Studies of Detectors and Background Suppression Methods for Low-Background Experiments” headed by the DLNP senior researcher K. N. Gusev;
“Development of the Programme of Participation in the DUNE Experiment for Precision Measurements of Neutrino Oscillations” led by the Head of the DLNP Sector of Accelerator Neutrinos.
The projects supported will be implemented in 2022―2023 by small scientific groups of up to 4 persons. The RSF will finance them in 2022 with above 2.7 billion rubles. An average grant amount is 1.49 million rubles per year.
Above 9 thousand applications from 81 regions of Russia were submitted. 1822 of them were supported. 25% of the heads of these projects are early-career scientists aged up to 39 inclusive, 34% of the heads are women.
