Baikal Summer School. Day 7

Today was the last day of the 26th Baikal International Summer School, the day when the participants come back home with new knowledge, new friends and new memories; with their bags heavy with not only souvenirs, but also overwhelming emotions; with notebooks full of lecture summaries and ideas; with a poignant feeling that seems to be the beginning, not the end…

Because Baikal does not say goodbye. He leaves his piece in everybody, in star reflection of a night expanse, in the wind, in that special Baikal light that cannot be captured by photo. Every lecture became a dialogue and every break turned into a small conference.

As early as tomorrow someone will start writing an article, inspired by discussions at the school. Someone will just pull out Baikal stone and close their eyes for a moment to hear the play of the waves. The school is not closing; it is simply going into standby mode until next summer. After all, Baikal, like true friendship, does not tolerate haste. He is just waiting. Goodbye for the moment!
