Baikal Summer School. Day 4
In the morning, the first parts of lectures "Gravity, Black Holes and all that" by Emil T. Akhmedov (MIPT, ITEP), "Stars and New Physics" by Sergey Troitsky (INR RAS), and "UHE Neutrino Telescopes" by Grigory Safronov (INR RAS) were delievered.
After lunch, the participants went for a hike along a section of the Great Baikal Trail, from Bolshiye Koty to Skriper Cliff, followed by a traditional swim in Lake Baikal (for the bravest among them, given that the water temperature did not exceed 10°C). In the evening, Dmitry Bylinkin (BRAIn Lab, MIPT) delivered a lecture about machine learning in particle physics, particularly event reconstruction based on detector data.
