VIETNAM SCHOOL ON NEUTRINOS (VSON3) (July 7th - 19th, 2019, ICISE center, Quy Nhon, Vietnam)

The third school on Neutrino physics, organized by Rencontres Du Vietnam and Neutrino group, IFIRSE, with a participation of Japanese professors, will be held at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), Quy Nhon, Vietnam, from July 7th – July 19th, 2019. The purpose of the school is to train and attract generations of students and young physicists to follow the neutrino physics. An introductory page for the school can be found at https://ifirse.icise.vn/nugroup/vson/2019/overview.html.

The school program will contain a set of introductory lectures which cover the backgrounds of elementary particle physics and the neutrino phenomenology. Number of the neutrino experiments will be introduced with a particular concentration on the methods of observing and detecting neutrinos. In addition, some selective lectures will be devoted to modern methods and new developments of neutrino physics in both theoretical and experimental aspects. Students are encouraged to actively involve in the training sections which consist of both hardware (a detector prototype with plastic scintillator, Multi-pixel Photon Counter, and NIM modules) and software (particle identification with Super-Kamiokande software and neutrino event generator) practicing. The language used in the school will be English. Accommodations for students are provided and traveling support can be considered if necessary.

The application deadline is 15th April 2019. Please send us your CV including your research interest by submitting online at  https://ifirse.icise.vn/nugroup/vson/2019/registration.html
