From 12 April to 12 August, you are invited to the exhibition “Daily Work Routine of a Researcher of the 20th Century” celebrating the 65th JINR anniversary.
The objects of interest from the collections of the JINR Museum of Science and Technology and also from the Museum-Study of Bruno Pontecorvo (DLNP, JINR) are showcased at the JINR Museum. JINR researchers used these everyday-life pieces for their work in the 1950s—1990s. Here you will find documents, photographs, scientific instruments and devices.
Some of these devices are still on the go — you can type some words on a typewriter, listen to gramophone records, take a look at transparencies on the overhead projector and do sums using the CASIO calculator of the 1970s.
The exhibition is a joint project of the JINR Museum of Science and Technology and the Dzhelepov Laboratory of Nuclear Problems and the outcome of the column “Everyday Life of a Researcher of the 20th century” published on the DLNP website from September 2020 to March 2021 on the eve of the 65th JINR anniversary.
Working hours: Monday—Friday, 15:00—18:00.
