Working meeting "The Baikal-GVD Neutrino Telescope 2026" underway on Lake Baikal

Working meeting "The Baikal-GVD Neutrino Telescope 2026" has began on Lake Baikal, in the village of Listvyanka (Irkutsk region). It will be held 25-28 February 2026.

Representatives of the largest research institutes and universities of Russia (JINR, INR RAS, MSU, LPI, NSU, ISU, TPU, KBSU, and ITMO University) will discuss the results of the implementation of state assignments in the field of neutrino physics and astrophysics research as well as consider proposals for next-generation facilities, and discuss prospects for international cooperation and staff contribution.

The meeting will include a visit to the Ice Camp at the site of the neutrino telescope to learn about the current state of the experiment and the expedition's activities, as well as a trip to the village of Tankhoi to discuss cooperation in the field of particle astrophysics.
