“Study of Neutrino Oscillations in the NOvA/DUNE Accelerator Experiments” by Oleg Samoylov

The main goal of the projects is to study the phenomenon of neutrino oscillations which allow measuring unknown neutrino parameters: the neutrino mass ordering, leptonic CP violation (if CP is non-zero), the value of the mixing angle th23 and determining its octant.

At the seminar, the following was discussed:
— NOvA, DUNE and other experiments with similar tasks;
— neutrino oscillation phenomenon and physics outcome;
— physics tasks of the JINR group in both projects;
— plans for data taking and analysis in the NOvA experiment for 2024−2026;
— tasks of the JINR group in the DUNE experiment during this period.

(The seminar was held in connection with the prolongation of the NOvA/DUNE project within Theme 1099.)
