The Baikal collaboration meeting has started

In the JINR International Conference Centre the Baikal Collaboration meeting is underway 1–5 December 2025. The participants of the meeting are discussing the condition of the Baikal-GVD facility at the end of 2025, the results of event reconstruction work, the results of astrophysical research using data from the telescope, issues related to the deployment of the expedition in 2026, and much more.

Zhen Cao, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is among the participants and today he has presented the review report on recent results obtained at LHASSO high-altitude facility.

For the reference:

The Baikal-GVD Neutrino Telescope (Baikal Gigaton Volume Detector) is the largest in the Northern Hemisphere. Its primary objective is to detect and study high energy neutrino fluxes from astrophysical sources. The Baikal neutrino telescope is built by international collaboration, the leading role in which is devoted to the founder of the experiment, The Institute for Nuclear Research of the RAS (Moscow), and to the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna).
