Laureates of the 2024 JINR Prize announced
The second prize in the nomination “Methodological and technical research works” was awarded to the group of scientists—A. Gongadze, I. B. Gongadze, L. A. Gongadze, D. V. Dedovich, N. N. Kaurtsev, N. A. Kovyazina, I. V. Lyashko, I. Minashvili, I. N. Potrap, T. O. Rudenko—for their work “Creation of the full cycle technological complex for developing, constructing, and testing Micromegas coordinate detectors”.
The second prize in the nomination “Applied technical research works” was awarded to the group of scientists—V. A. Rozhkov, R. V. Sotensky, G. A. Chelkov, E. V. Suslova, D. A. Shashurin, O. S. Medvedev—for their work “Development and introduction of the methods of energy-sensitive computed tomography with the high-selective contrast for biomedical research”.
The third prize in the nomination “Methodological and technical research works” was awarded to the group of scientists—V. V. Belov, K. N. Gusev, I. V. Zhitnikov, D. R. Zinatulina, S. V. Kazartsev, N. S. Rumyantseva, E. A. Shevchik, M. V. Shirchenko, M. V. Fomina—for their work “the MONUMENT experiment: Research on the ordinary muon capture for 0vßß decay”.

The JINR Prize is awarded for outstanding experimental, methodological, and applied research within the topics of the institute that are completed in the current year and are at the level of modern science. The Jury of 11 people is annually established by the JINR Directorate for considering the works submitted. The panel of judges consists of the representatives of the JINR Directorate and leading scientists. The decision on awarding the prizes comes into force after its approval by the JINR Scientific Council at the winter session.
