11 February: International Day of Women and Girls in Science

The International Day of Women and Girls in Science is celebrated on 11 February. This day is aimed at encouraging women to join the scientific community, creating a comfortable environment for them to receive education, and helping women in their scientific career.

The Group of Scientific Communication has traditionally prepared materials about women working in our laboratory. This year we are focusing on yesterday’s students that have become today’s staff members, trainee researchers, and engineers of DLNP. Their stories demonstrate that science does not make a difference between men and women, and what really matters is interest, determination, and desire to pursue science.

The Dzhelepov Laboratory of Nuclear Problems invites students with a bachelor degree and master’s degree, specialists, and postgraduate students to do an internship and write graduation theses. Information about the programme can be found on our website.
