Armenia
As one of the Soviet republics, Armenia became part of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research on the day the organization was created, 26 March 1956. Since 1992 Armenia has been a JINR Member State as a sovereign republic. Armenian researchers participated and participate in many large JINR projects, take part in JINR conferences in Dubna and in the Member States. The Yerevan Physics Institute, the Yerevan State University, Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University, and other scientific organizations actively cooperate with JINR.
The compact precision laser inclinometer developed by DLNP JINR scientists was installed in the Garni Geophysical Observatory in 2018.
