Dzhelepov Prize

The Dzhelepov Prize is awarded for outstanding achievements in the field of experimental and theoretical research aimed to solve applied problems using nuclear physics methods. The prize has been awarded since 2010.

Dzhelepov Prize Regulations
1. The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research has established the Dzhelepov Prize.

2. The prize is established to distinguish scientists for outstanding achievements in experimental and theoretical research aimed at solving applied problems using nuclear physics methods.

3. The Prize is awarded once every two years on the basis of the competition announced by JINR.

4.  Authors of works or series of works on the same topic can be nominated for the Prize.

5. Contestants for the Dzhelepov Prize may be single scientists or groups of not more than three scientists, who have made a decisive contribution to a solution of a scientific problem.

6. To consider the papers submitted for the Prize, a jury is set up by the order of the JINR Director.

7. A decision on awarding the Dzhelepov Prize is taken by secret ballot. The  decision is supposed to be adopted if the majority of all jury members have voted for it.

8. The decision of the jury is considered by the JINR Directorate and approved by the Scientific Council of the Institute.

9. Laureates of the Prize receive a certificate, an award pin and money reward. The amount of the reward is 50 thousand rubles at the time of its foundation.

10. The laureate is awarded the certificate during the session of the JINR Scientific Council.

11. The decision to award the Dzhelepov Prize is published in the press.
