Dear friends, dear colleagues, members of the international Dubna family,
the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year and puts yet another milestone on the long path of studying fundamental properties of matter by humanity.
JINR was established by the founding states as a scientific and research locomotive driven by the talents and energy of researchers from all over the world to learn the laws of Nature. Over these decades, the world and its geography have changed, but JINR has maintained and strengthened in this dynamic situation its position as one of the leading international scientific centres of the world.
“Physics at Future \(e^+e^−\) Colliders. The ARIeL Project in 2019-2021” by Igor Boyko and Lidia Kalinovskaya
- Details
- Category: Seminars
The report on the ARIeL project for 2019-2021 will be presented. The main goal of this project is to prepare physics research for future high-energy electron-positron colliders.
The main result of the project is the release of Monte Carlo generator ReneSANCe of unweighted events at the level of complete one-loop computations.
The effects of radiation corrections have been estimated for various processes in the CLIC, ILC, FCC-ee and CEPC experiments.
“Monte Carlo Tool SANCphot for the Polarized γγ Collision Simulation” by Andrey Sapronov
- Details
- Category: Seminars
Our study of theoretical uncertainties for the four bosons processes at the one-loop level was presented, including the case of the transverse polarization. The calculations are based on the helicity amplitude approach for 4-boson interactions with massive fermion loops. The obtained predictions are equally suitable for a wide range of energies and for arbitrary, including extreme, regions of the phase volume. Uncertainty estimates are received using the new Monte Carlo tool SANCphot for the γγ collision simulation with final states γγ, γZ, ZZ adapted for polarized photon beams.
“JINR Participation in the Japanese Neutrino Program: from T2K to Hyper-Kamiokande. The T2K Project” by Vladimir Viktorovich Glagolev
- Details
- Category: Seminars
The participation of the JINR group in a very successful Japanese experimental program on neutrino physics was discussed — in the ongoing T2K-II experiment and the Hyper-Kamiokande project.
The already approved T2K-II experimental program will allow extending the T2K running time until 2026 and collecting statistics of up to 20x1021 protons on target to observe the CP violation with the 3σ significance or higher and to measure neutrino mixing parameters, \(\Theta_{23}\) and \(\Lambda m^2_{32}\), with a precision of 1,7 % or better and 1% respectively.

- Category: News
On 9 March 2021, the interview with Gil Pontecorvo, an employee of our Laboratory, was published at “Troitskij variant – Nauka”. The interview was conducted by Jan Machonin.
We will learn how the family of the future academician of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR Bruno Pontecorvo appeared in the Soviet Union, what were the peculiarities of life in the country where socialism had won and how the scientific career of the elder son of the great physicist started.
