A Catalogue of All Detected and Simulated Events in the ATLAS Experiment at CERN Compiled

Annually, several billions of particle interactions are detected in the ATLAS experiment at the LHC at CERN. These events are processed, analyzed, and even larger simulated data samples are generated for them. To track the location of each event record and also to be able to search for and retrieve specific events during in-depth investigations, the ATLAS EventIndex catalogue has been compiled. The EventIndex project results have been recently published in a high-ranking scientific journal Computing and Software for Big Science.

Продолжаются работы по установке новых и модернизации ранее установленных кластеров.
В береговой лаборатории определена причина неисправности акустической линии модуля гирлянд на 4-ой гирлянде 2-го кластера. На 8-ой и 4-ой гирлянде 1-го кластера установлены и протестированы все модули.

The main goal of the projects is to study the phenomenon of neutrino oscillations which allow measuring unknown neutrino parameters: the neutrino mass ordering, leptonic CP violation (if CP is non-zero), the value of the mixing angle th23 and determining its octant.

Физикой наша героиня увлеклась в школе. Этому способствовали талантливый учитель и интерес общества к физике и физикам: “Физики были богами и всё могли. В то время это была профессия наравне с космонавтикой”. То, что оставалось за границами школьной физики, приходилось искать в книгах: “Занимательной физике”, “Ядерной физике”, “Астрономии”.

Торжественное вручение состоялось 4 марта 2023 года в кампусе университета в г. Долгопрудном. 75-летие МФТИ — важное событие для науки и образования России. Физтех всегда был одним из самых передовых технологических вузов нашей страны, определяя научный вектор развития на годы вперед.

The report presented a number of studies performed for the Mu2e and T2K experiments. The Mu2e experiment at the Fermi National Laboratory will be aimed at searching for the neutrinoless conversion of a muon into an electron in the field of an aluminum nucleus. The registration of such a process would mean the detection of a violation of the lepton flavor in the decays of charged leptons and the detection of the effects of New Physics.
