Ongoing experiments searching for neutrinoless double beta decay (0νββ) were analyzed at the seminar. The GERDA experiment was discussed in more detail. It reached the record low background index on 2 counts / (FWHM⋅t⋅yr) in the region of 2039 keV using the array of bare germanium detectors enriched in 76Ge and immersed in liquid argon, which serves as active shielding.

No signal is observed after 127.2 kg yr of total exposure. A new limit on the half-life of the 0νββ decay in 76Ge is set at T1/2 > 1,8⋅1026  yr at 90% C.L.
