The report presents the results of nuclear spectroscopic studies carried out at the Laboratory of Nuclear Problems and associated with the study of the nucleus structure and development of new experimental methods for studying physical phenomena. These studies include the study of both nuclear and atomic time processes, as well as the study of the nucleus shell structure and probabilities of electromagnetic transitions. A series of works has been carried out to precisely determine radiation energies within a few tens of electronvolts and time intervals in the picosecond range. The use of the autocorrelation method has been developed in the studies of photodetector time characteristics, as well as in the study of the environment matrix influence on the half-life of embedded radioactive isotopes. A new method has been developed for determining the decay time of both inorganic and organic scintillators, which makes it possible to establish the component composition and type of decay of luminescence centers. A highly efficient technique of searching for nano- and microsecond isomers, including traces of 241Am, 232Th, 229Th, and 90Sr, has been developed.
