The differential cross sections of the reactions pn → pp_S + π^− and pp → pp_S + π^0 at 0.8 GeV are measured at beam energy 800 MeV in a small angular range in forward direction. Here pp_S means proton pair with small excitation energy E_pp < 3 MeV . Their implications on the mechanism of deutron breakup (pd → ppn) are discussed. Data were collected at accelerator COSY, Juelich, Germany.
